In cultivation Aporocactus flagelliformis are usually grown best in hanging basket containers as the stems are pendent in form. Flowers are tubular with spiny tubes. A popular common name is: "rat-tail cacti". The genus is close to Heliocereus but can
be distinguished by its thinner, more-ribbed stems almost rope like. There are several slight variations of this species mainly due to areas it was grown. Native to Mexico, Lem. discovered in 1753.
CARE; Aporocactus flagelliformis Likes the same care as Epiphyllums do, but with a slightly looser better draining soil mix and slightly brighter light given to bloom well. Roots easily! Easy to grow!
