Full Description: Species Aporocactus flagelliformis syn; Disocactus flagelliformis Has a small purplish-reddish bloom aprox. 1-1/2" inches (3.81 cm) in diameter in a funnel form. Growth is epiphytic vining type cacti with cylindrical, many-ribbed, densely spiny stems that are pendant.

In cultivation Aporocactus flagelliformis are usually grown best in hanging basket containers as the stems are pendent in form. Flowers are tubular with spiny tubes. A popular common name is: "rat-tail cacti". The genus is close to Heliocereus but can be distinguished by its thinner, more-ribbed stems almost rope like. There are several slight variations of this species mainly due to areas it was grown. Native to Mexico, Lem. discovered in 1753.

CARE; Aporocactus flagelliformis Likes the same care as Epiphyllums do, but with a slightly looser better draining soil mix and slightly brighter light given to bloom well. Roots easily! Easy to grow!

Offered for mail order as cuttings for all locations. Small rooted plants & specimen sized plants are available for shipping to U.S. only locations or for pick up at the nursery. (2nd picture above shows typical 2 gal. hanging basket sized plant(s) available.)

Established one gallon plants up to specimen sized blooming plants may also be available for shipping within the U.S. only or for pick-up at Epicacti Nursery as most are very large, so sorry but no international shipping of large plants.
