| Full Description: APOROCACTUS FLAGELLIFORMIS-A species but listed here also as its used as a Aporophyllum cross. Has a small purplish-reddish bloom, epiphytic vining cacti with cylindrical, many-ribbed, densely spiny stems. In cultivation, plants are usually grown in hanging basket containers as the stems are pendent in form. Flowers tubular, spiny. Popular common name: "rat-tail cacti". The genus is close to Heliocereus but can be distinguished by its thinner, more-ribbed stems almost rope like.Several slight variations due to area it was grown. Native to Mexico, Lem. 1753. Same care as Epiphyllums but a slightly looser soil mix and brighter light to bloom well. Roots easily! Offered as cuttings. THE PLANTS OR CUTTINGS OFFERED HERE WERE GARDEN CULTIVATED AND WERE NOT REMOVED FROM THERE NATIVE HABITAT. |
