Full Description: Trichocereus Hybrid 'DICKE BERTHA' Has a large bloom 8"+ diameter. Imported from Germany and named after a large gun from WWI see the picture above of the gun this variety was named after. Growth is large about 10-14" diameter and up to 5ft tall when fully mature, tends to bloom at 2 to 3ft in hieght. Grows fast, robust grower.

More info; (Name in German means Big Bertha) Dicke Bertha; literal translation "Thick (or fat) Bertha") is the name of a type of super-heavy howitzer developed by the famous armaments manufacturer Krupp in Germany on the eve of World War I. So as the gun was one of the largest of its time it was reffered to as 'BIG BERTHA' in Duetch 'DICKE BERTHA' so this Trichocereus hybrid is named after this gun pictured above from WWI.
