Full Description: ECHINOPSIS SPACHIANA AKA GOLDEN TORCH CACTUS-A species with large white nocturnal blooms 6" to 8" in diameter with a greenish throat,golden stamens and bronzy backpetals. This variety is found worldwide in Catamarca, Jujuy, La Rioja, Mendoza, Neuquen, Salta, San Juan, Tucuman - Argentina-South America.Growth is columar 4-6" diameter with many spines, blooms at maturity of 3-4' but will grow to 10ft over time. Offered as large pups a minumum of 12"T above the soil line or top cuts 16"+L if available. Very easy to grow full sun with good draining soil,cannot go below freezing temps for any long periods of time, adaptable to many soil types can be container grown or planted in the ground.A nice specimen as a landscape plant for the desert look.
NOTES; Blooms stay open until late morning or all day if overcast conditions, blooms are slightly fragrant begining at dusk.Currently being offered as a large top cut.
