| Full Description: HYLOCEREUS OCAMPONIS- Is a Species with huge extra large nocturnal blooms to 15" in diameter, it also produces fruit although not self polinating it needs help with hand pollination. Commonly used as grafting stock for the cute moon cactus sold at Home depot. H.Ocamponis is a strong grower with grey green stems in long thick 3 sided segments, a hardy grower worthy of crossing with other varieties and as graft stock for a variety of cactus plants especially montrose types. Strong growth and a good bloomer,fruit is good sized and tastes good too depending on the cross polinator.
HYLOCEREUS OCAMPONIS an easy to grow Hylocereus that grows well with almost no spotting and is a reliable bloomer/fruit producer, usually blooms mid to late summer-likes the heat, fruit is ripe by fall. Roots easy just like Epiphyllums. |
