| Full Description: NOPALXOCHIA HORICHII is a rare hard to find species that has 5 to 6" pink blooms on growth that can be small to wider 3 sided and flat,very dark green growth, wavy or notched edges.Upright growth at first but adaptable to a hanging basket with maturity. (Also classified as Heliocereus Horichii).The natural habitat of this species is near San Jos to the northeastern outskirts of San Isidro de Coronado, west of Rio Durazno. Costa Rica. At this altitude, the climate is temperate with average annual temperatures of 16.7o Celsius (62o Fahrenheit).The annual precipitation averages about 2540-millimetres (100-inches). Easy to grow likes a bit more shade than most hybrids and does best in a wind protected location,fast growth in summer warm season. Note; THE CUTTINGS OFFERED HERE WERE GARDEN PROPOGATED AND NOT COLLECTED FROM THIS PLANTS NATIVE HABITAT RANGE. This maybe a regular offering next season but since out of 6 extras 4 were given away already these are the only 2 cuttings left after repotting, this is a one time offering this season on a hard to find species, cut July 7th there ready to plant. |
