Full Description: Species NOTOCACTUS SUBMAMMULOSUS-Has abundant yellow center with pastel blooms about 1-1/2" diameter, short tubes, pink to red stigma. Growth is globular to 6" diameter, 16-18 ribs, spines are radial white to brown in color. Can be grown in full sun at cooler locations by the coast but needs part shade further inland. Hardy to lower temps but little water required in winter almost none, if given too much water in winter this plant will rot. Regular cactus mix soil, abundant water in summer months. Blooms easily with minimal care. Native to parts throughout southern Brazil, Uruguay and northern Argentina. Blooms of this species can vary from yellow to red due to several varients. Notocactus Submammulosus syn.-(Parodia mammulosa).
