| Full Description: HYLOCEREUS UNDATUS HYBRID-'PEPINO DULCE'- Has a bright pink skin,pinkish-green big fins and a white colored very juicy and extremely sweet pulp, very fertile and produces an abundance of large round fruits, most fruits average 1-1/2 lbs. but this variety can produce huge 2 lb fruit too. Sweet and juicy,great for all uses- fresh fruit smoothies.Fruit can be eaten fresh like a melon after being chilled is best. Huge nocturnal blooms over 15" across. This variety is self polinating and does not need a cross, and its very fertile once mature so it doesnt take much to polinate.Same growing medium as Epis but likes shade at the feet and the top growth likes to reach full sun to bloom well.If your coastal it can handle full sun. Blooms all summer, fruits are developed after blooming and ripen by fall. The name in Spanish means (Sweet Cucumber). HYLOCEREUS HYBRID -PEPINO DULCE is an easy to grow Hylocereus that grows well with almost no spotting, medium to wide stem thickness with some spines 'PEPINO DULCE' is a reliable bloomer/fruit producer, usually blooms mid to late summer-likes the heat, fruit is usually ripe by late summer or fall.
