Full Description: Hylocereus undatus hybrid 'THOMSON' is another selection made by the California Rare Fruit Growers. 'THOMSON' was Named after CRFG CO-Founder and Hylocereus/Dragon Fruit researcher Paul H. Thomson-also the author of "The Pitahya Book". It is a large fruit that can weigh up to 1.5 pounds, we have gotten a few at 2lbs+ at our walk in nursery Epicacti Nursery. The pulp is sweet and flavorful, white in color and it separates easily from its thick rind. This variety is also self pollinating.

Fruit can be eaten fresh in jams as a garnish or juice in drinks. Huge nocturnal blooms over 13" across. Same growing medium as Epis but likes shade at the feet and the top growth likes to reach full sun to bloom well. If your coastal it can handle full sun. Blooms all summer, fruits are developed after blooming and ripen by fall. Strong grower! HYLOCEREUS HYBRID -THOMPSON Is an easy to grow Hylocereus that grows well with almost no spotting and is a reliable bloomer/fruit producer, usually blooms mid to late summer-likes the heat, fruit is ripe by fall.Named after California, USA Dragon Fruit hybridizer Paul H. Thompson.

Notes; Once mature this variety is a heavy and consistent producer. Needs little or no help in pollination for high production. Very sweet white variety!
