Full Description: Species; TRICHOCEREUS CANDICANS, commonly called (Argentine giant)has a large 8"+ diameter white billowy blooms with pinkish-maroon backpetals and a yellow throat/filaments. Fragrant but more so towards dusk. Sunset: 11-13; USDA: 9-10. Full sun to light shade. Heat tolerant. Low water. Trailing cactus, grows to 4' tall; 10' wide. Hardy to 15°F. Origin: Native to Northern Argentina. Pups easily! Tends to trail or clump over time giving a large mass, but from a single plant it will takes only a few seasons.
NOTES;
This species along with several others is now classified under ECHINOPSIS-Echinopsis candicans.
Offered as a large pup or plant 10" above the soil line and 2-3"+ diameter. |
