| Full Description: HYLOCEREUS UNDATUS-' VIETNAMESE WHITE'- Imported from Vietnam-Is self polinating and is the same variety sold in markets through out Vietnam. Huge fruit over 1-1/2 lbs- 2 lbs. I put a quarter on the plate for scale its hardly noticable its so small next to this huge fruit. This fruit pictured is an average size some are slightly smaller,some larger. Very fertile this variety needs little help in fact you may want to remove some fruit on each branch to increase the remaining ones size, 2 lb fruit is easily possible with this variety. As its very fertile you will only get smaller fruit if you leave too many on one stem,each stem can get from one to a dozen or more.This one has a kiwi type flavor and is best cut open and eaten like cantalope melon, great for fresh fruit smoothies too.Huge nocturnal blooms over 14" across. Same growing medium as Epis but likes shade at the feet and the top growth likes to reach full sun to bloom well.If your coastal it can handle full sun. Blooms all summer, fruits are developed after blooming and ripen around fall.
